Sasha Sumling

Licensed Massage Therapist, Talsasha Sumling, is a certified birth/postpartum doula, endorsed surgical/VBAC doula, infant massage instructor, and an Evidence Based Birth ® Instructor. After receiving her massage therapy diploma from Texas Health School in 2010, Sumling began her training as an intern then further became a certified infant massage instructor from Houston Pregnancy Massage and Doula Care. While at HPM&DC, she obtained certifications in Labor Massage, Pregnancy Massage Level 1, 2, and 3, Postpartum Level 1 and 2, Premature-Newborn-Infant Massage, and Special Delivery Medical Doula Certification. In 2013, Sumling studied hypnotherapy and holistic nutrition through the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts where she later received her Mind-Body Wellness Practitioner Diploma. Further, in 2016, Sumling became a Madriella Certified Postpartum Doula through the Somatic Arts and Sciences Institute. Sumling has extensive experience throughout the Houston doula community by providing contract services with physicians in the local area for over nine years. Sumling is the founder of Massagemomma, a pregnancy massage and doula care service where she provides in-office and outcall work for her clients. The massage therapy and birth doula affiliations that Talsasha Sumling has been affiliated with over the years include the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (2010—2014), the DONA International Professional Membership (2010-Present) the American Massage Therapy Association (2017-Present), the National Black Doula Association (2018–Present), Evidence Based Birth® (2019-Present ), the Postpartum Support International (2020), Holistic Chamber of Commerce (2022), Black Women do VBAC (2023) and Body Ready Method® Certified Pro (2024)
